Investigate product abandonment and observed checkout errors
Find products appearing frequently in abandoned carts and inspect errors the connector actually observed.
Read the product report carefully
Reports → Products & checkout counts captured carts containing a product, carts still abandoned and recovered carts. Multiple lines for the same parent product count as one cart appearance. Currency groups remain separate. This is not a catalog-wide abandonment rate because only captured, opted-in checkouts are included.
A product appearing frequently in abandoned carts may also be popular. Compare observed issues and actual checkout behavior before changing pricing or product content. The report does not infer why an individual left.
Follow the observed signal
The connector observes Classic checkout validation, unsuccessful Store API checkout responses and failed-order hooks. It sends only allowlisted codes, product IDs, checkout mode and a cart reference after reminder consent exists. No raw customer-entered error or payment details are transmitted. Repeated cart/code observations are deduplicated for 15 minutes. No observed errors does not certify an error-free checkout.
| Observation | Suggested checks |
|---|---|
| Shipping unavailable | Test the shopper’s destination, shipping zones, method eligibility and minimum thresholds. |
| Product out of stock | Check variation inventory, backorders and availability at checkout. |
| Payment failed | Inspect the WooCommerce order notes and gateway logs using authorized store access. |
| Validation failed | Reproduce required-field and extension validation in Classic checkout or Checkout Blocks. |
