EU privacy and cookie setup
Complete the merchant’s real privacy and cookie setup before live sending.
What to do
- Identify the controller, country, privacy contact, purposes, lawful bases, retention and rights/complaint routes in the store notice.
- Document the actual WordPress host, chosen email provider, processing locations and any international-transfer arrangements.
- Test unchecked consent, opted-in capture, withdrawal, unsubscribe and personal-data export/erasure in Free and Pro.
- Inventory the store’s actual cookies, pixels and extensions. Keep optional storage/tracking inactive until the necessary choice is made.
- Record who handles requests, incidents, backups and retention failures, then obtain the appropriate legal review.
What to expect
WakeMyCart’s recovery workspace operates locally. Its optional guide does not require persistent storage. The website has separate cookie settings for its optional tutorial preferences.
An EU business address does not establish EEA-only processing, and installing a consent checkbox does not by itself establish GDPR or ePrivacy compliance.
Review the published legal notice and provider register before connecting an account. Local Free recovery remains available without an account; use your own reviewed store notice and provider arrangements.
