Data, consent and deletion requests
Keep recovery records on the merchant store and coordinate actual recipients.
What to do
- Read the privacy notice, provider register and migration status before enabling capture.
- Use WordPress Tools → Export Personal Data for the local recovery records.
- For erasure, run WordPress Tools → Erase Personal Data through every batch. Suppression blocks further reminders and stale capture callbacks.
- Coordinate records held by the selected email provider, backups and any previous cloud engine separately.
What to expect
Only connected installations send account-service requests. These contain merchant registration, installation/version data, signed licensing requests and coarse health. Current Free and Pro plugins do not request contact quotas or report aggregate contact usage. They exclude shopper emails, hashes, carts, products, orders, message contents and recovery tokens.
Snapshots normally last 30 days after activity; detailed recovery records normally last 90 days; terminal email payloads 48 hours; unsubscribe links up to 365 days; anonymous statistics 13 months. Minimal suppression remains to prevent renewed contact.
Erased immature experiment assignments reduce the observed sample; mature results remain only as aggregate counters. Canonical WooCommerce accounting orders follow the merchant’s separate retention.
